To continue my grumpy old internet man kick, but: what an awful cover. Not Gary Frank’s best, even if you ignore the awful relaunch costumes and focus on the blocking/posing. Say what you will about old homage covers, at least there was a story involved, rather than generic pin-ups. Also, this is apparently for the issue where they relaunch Captain Billy Marvel as SHAZAM! Because of reasons. Stupid reasons.
Supes looks like he got punched in the face and then his mouth froze that way.
One of the few good things about this cover is that it’s got Wondy in a pose you might find a male character in. But seriously, it’s completely undynamic, and doesn’t make me interested in whatever story it’s covering at all.
Also, Cyborg’s reboot costume is still unbelievably stupid and Superman needs his goddamn red underpants and old neckline back.
(And Bruce, crouching in the shadows only works if you’re in the shadows.)

Parting Shot: The Justice League — Without Pants
The two final covers for the Justice League of America #1 relaunch have been released at The Source, featuring the return to Wonder Woman’s swimsuit-style costume from from her previous redesign with full pants. While I tend to think shorts are a better sartorial choice for the Amazonian warrior, turnabout is still fair play, so I couldn’t help but be amused by this Photoshop by CA reader Mario Pieda imagining the rest of the JLA — sans pants.
Do you see now, DC? Do you see how stupid, how unmodern a speedo looks on a modern-day superhero? BRING BACK HER PANTS. — Ryking
Looking good, dudes.
Omg dying XXD
This is a thing of beauty.
(What gets me is that Vic’s original costume had no pants, so this is just a return to his roots for him)
